What a difference a year has made
Do I still have hard times? Yes. Do I still occasionally think I could stay until the kids are older? Yes. Am I sometimes (a lot) afraid? Yes.
But the difference between last holiday and this one is remarkable. I am more excited about this Christmas, and more at peace than last year. I still have a lot of work to do, but the detachment that I have accomplished already has made a huge difference.
