Sitting here in the hospital

Mom had a stroke, she is 84 yrs old pretty active. She was watching TV with a friend who was staying over and her face drooped , slurred her words and lost motion on her left side. Friend called an ambulance right away , got her to the hospital given a TPA. Transferred to another hospital where they did a procedure to remove a clot in her brain. All very fast , seems to be doing well has movement back her face still has a droop. Gonna leave here soon and go to bed I’m exhausted . Just felt like typing.

Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a tough time. One that drinking wouldn't make better.
Sobriety is a blessing here. It's meant that you could be there for your mum.

Hope you rest well later.

Good luck with everything, Kdon. I hope your mum's treatment goes well. Thanks for sharing. These shocks can come at any time and others have said, drinking is not a solution.

Prayers for a full and beautiful recovery for her!

Someone close to me had a stroke earlier this year and has fully recovered from it. Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy all played a good part.

Does she have good insurance or other means to take care of her financial health through this?

Very sorry to hear about your mom. Had a similar situation with my mother many years ago, but everything turned out fine. I'm sure she's gonna be ok. Make sure and take care of yourself too. John
