Just need a little support
Hi guys I've been drinking a lot lately. I'm only 36 and have to be on blood pressure medication. My girlfriend just left. I'm just depressed. Anyone ever have delirium hallucinations? I did in March and I thought there was 6 people going to kill me including the cops. And they thought I was on drugs (I haven't even smoked weed in 16 years) And a cop found me on the side of the road. I only had a.01 bac.... Sorry just have to vent... Thank you

Hi Pistons. Vent away - SR is very therapeutic for venting 
Sorry that you're feeling poorly at the moment. I personally haven't experienced vivid hallucinations but I know that others here have posted that they have. You said that you've been drinking a lot lately - are you thinking of stopping? Best wishes x

Your body doesn't you know - it will thank you if you stop drinking the poison. I know that it's a mare to do though but it's worse if you don't - have you support where you are Piston?

I hope this isn't too personal a question - but can you reach out to them too, or is it a secret that you feel you need to keep? There is also a huge amount of support here on SR - there are threads, groups and most of all caring people who would love to help and support you too Piston. x. The way that you gain sobriety is a deeply personal thing but a huge amounts of folks here have experience and their own stories if you ask a question.

Do you think you need a medical detox? Can your family help you get some help today? You seem to be wise enough to know that addiction is nothing to take lightly. You need to make a decision to quit and get some help. Venting is a cry for help. Now take some action.

I know how you feel, I've never experienced hallucinations, but every time I detox I have terrifying vivid nightmares; I wake up and I'm not sure what's real anymore. Detoxing alone can be dangerous, I'd recommend checking with your doctor if you can do it safely...

PS: Are you Polish? I'm originally from Poland, but I've been living in Scotland for some time now.
