Hello I have decided to reach out to this site to know I'm not alone in my struggle with an addict child. I finally said no to another request to run and pick her up. Hearing the words "I'm sick and need help" ripped at my heart and for a moment I almost did but the memory of our last time together and the violence that was put apon came to mind quickly. So I said NO and explained why only to hear the backlash once again. I know she's hurting and in pain but I'm no longer her punching bag. I love her more then I can say and pray she gets well but I am no longer being apart of her life. I'm looking for peace with my decision . Wishing all the best

As hard as it must be to say no, speaking from the 'other side' I think you're doing the right thing for yourself and your child.
