Day 2

Day 2 here, about 42 hours since I took my last drink. Today is the start of the little league season and my youngest has a double header. My in laws are also up from Albuquerque, so plenty to keep me busy. I managed to get some sleep last night, although it was fractured and I did have some sweating. Nothing horrible though. Keep fighting warriors!

Keep it up KG. It's tough in the start. Anytime you feel like you want a drink just think about how the hangovers are and all the negative side effects like anxiety you get from drinking. I'm on day 29 right now and boy let me tell you I have had some tempting moments but I just stop in those moments and remind myself of how crappy ill feel the next day. Good Luck.

Keeping busy is key, KG - good that you have things to focus on. Congrats on your Day 2.

Congratulations on two days. That is great. Just think, you'll be there for your in-laws and child.
The side effects will leave soon and you'll be back to a nice 'normal'.
Just remember, you never have to drink again

Congratulations on day 2! Being sober and present for my kids (ages 5 & 2) is a big motivator for me. Keep at it!

Well done on 2 sober days,KG.

Early days can be tough but the rewards of sobriety are very well worth the effort.
