The 2018 Relapse
Middle of January 2018 I relapsed on heroin from a 22 month long sobriety binge. It started out just the once then it was every couple of days by February i was using everyday and have since. I haven't told my family as the results would cause more damage then being beneficial to getting sober again. I'm terrified of the withdrawals as I know they are going to kick in the hardest whilste at work. I did however spend my last 40$ on 5 8mg suboxens. 3 being the strips and 2 being the dissolvable football-shaped pills. I have no sponsor or really any one to talk to while dealing with the mental part of my withdraws that will start in 6 to 12 hours. Any thought or recommendations to help me get thru the week?
Welcome, I'm glad you found us.
While I am not familiar with your DOC I do hope someone else with experience can chime in to give some solid advice for you.
While I am an alcoholic, for me I go to meetings, I come here often.
If need be, I hear sometimes people should detox at a hospital when coming off heroine.
I hope to see you here more and continue the sober path, you're worth it!
