DAY 8: Today was Mother's day and I was a Good Mum
I had the best day and one this year I will remember.
Lovely restaurant with my kids.
The waiter came over with a glass of bubbles and I said thanks but no thanks YES!!! Everyone stared at me the look on my teenagers faces was priceless my son smiled my mum shocked and I just held up my glass of elderflower spritzer and said Cheers!
Please God let me keep this strength.

Well done Max - hold that moment in your memory and bring it up whenever you're finding it tough. Last year on Mother's Day my family and I went for a meal - I got to the restaurant early and had sunk 3 cocktails by the time they arrived then didn't have a dry glass through 3 courses, then we hit a bar for some live music and by the time my family left to go home I told them I'd find a friend to crash with and stayed out drinking.
This year, even at only 3 weeks sober it meant having enough money to treat my family to a meal and enjoy their company rather than be an embarrassment to them. It left me feeling so positive, I'm definitely gonna hold onto it!
