Self-Love > Self-Hate
Self-Love > Self-Hate
I am sure we all have sulked in sorrow over the things we have done while using which can really bring us down. To the point that we start to talk poorly about yourself, act badly to yourself, possibly even relapse over self-loathing.... Dispare.
I heard this on the radio today and it was perfect!
When you think of good things, those good things get better!
Be nice to yourself, you deserve it!
When I would sit there and think bad thoughts about myself, tell my self "I suck, I'm a failure, etc" GUESS WHAT?
I felt *****y ALL THE TIME. I started to believe those things were true and I would say F*CK IT- I'm using because I suck so bad as a person. This is not true folks!!!!!!!! We may have done bad things, but we are not people. We are human, we received another chance and that chance is TODAY!
When I started to think good about myself, self-love chats, having positive thoughts about my self.... This weird thing happened...
I WAS HAPPY not only am I happy, I have my confidence, I am able to go through the day with my head held high. I am more accomplished, I am more determined, I am more motivated. I wish this for you, too!
Now, I am human and sh*t still happens, I just have to work harder to get my mood right and back on the happy/positive track.
I don't want to be stuck in the negative
Positive attracts positive
Negative attracts negative.
How are you going to be today?
Tell yourself, right now, something you LOVE about yourself. Do that every day for 3 weeks (21 days), see if it changes your mindset about YOU!
I love my legs- They are strong and carry me throughout the day, and they are tatted so that is a bonus!
Focus on Self-love and watch how much better you are feeling about YOU.
Blessings,
DC

I used to chastise myself in the mirror in the morning. Then I would drink in the evening.
Now I say nice things to myself in the mirror in the morning. And I don't drink.
Good job on that _________ yesterday.
You're working hard, well done.
I wish you happiness, health, safety, and peacefulness.
I felt really agitated yesterday, but I didn't drink. I did that for you.
If you haven't tried it, you ought to. Nothing to lose. Lots to gain.

Yes, positive thinking does work! It's so easy to wallow around in self pity and feel sorry for ourselves. But the past is past and can't be changed, however, we can change today and our future. Excellent post!
