I hope this is a bug and not withdrawal related

There's a crazy bug/flu going around. My friend came by the house about 4 days ago days ago. She stayed for 5 minutes. She was congested and ill but I kept my distance.

The following day my girlfriend woke up and was sick. Next morning I had stomach cramps and nausea. The nausea will come and go throughout the day. It will get bad then die down for half and hour or so. I've felt like this for 3 days now.

Spent 2 days in bed just cba to move or do anything. We have this "Australian flu" going around. It's pretty rough. I am praying that this isn't the start of that.

I had a slight fever but no other symptoms which is odd. I haven't actually been sick either. I can still eat small amounts but my appetite to eat isn't really there. My girlfriend is complaining of similar symptoms but she is also on her monthly PMT.

Fed up I think I'm on day 15 now. Yay!

Edit: 19 days today actually. Holy crap that has gone fast!

I’m no doctor, but if you are a couple of weeks sober, highly unlikely what you are describing is withdrawal related. But, as you are going to hear a lot, go see your doc.

I'm not a Dr either, but sounds like a 'bug' to me. 19 days is great! Take care of yourself 16. You know the drill, fluids, rest - maybe some chicken soup?

Chicken soup does sound tasty right now! Good call.

Another non doctor here but it sounds more likely to be the flu to me.

Don't underestimate it either - if you or your gf feel really poorly, please see your Dr.

Very bad year for flu.
Lots and lots and lots of fluids, rest, aspirin for aches.
Good luck.
