Done it again
Day 5 of binge today.
Minimal sleep. No work for 5 days. Spent about £600
Family have given up on me.
Bills haven’t been paid.
Right in the soup.
Woke up this morning (after bout 2 hours sleep on and off) shaking till I got down the shop.
If your reading this learn from me not be like me....

I have been there many times. my experience is I would sleep the clock around, stay in bed, of course I would always lose my job if I had any, it got so bad that the only way for me to return to normalcy and sobriety is to get locked inside the house. I have been locked in at times for over a month without booze.
Just to show you that I understand where you at with the drinking right now and that all is not lost.
I just came back from a bad relapse. I am only a few weeks sober again.
If I were you, and since you already went to the liquor store, I would taper off with beer to avoid the witdrawals, eat something and sleep.
drink plenty of water and sleep again.
You will have to stop sometimes. why not today.

Trouble is , Jimmy, when the obsession is on me I can't even remember my own sad tale, much less yours.
Maybe I can turn this sentimentt round. Perhaps you can learn from us and be like us. It s entirely possible if you are willing to make the effort.

Actually, we're all like you - that's why we are here in the first place. And most of us have been through exactly what you are going through right now.
Why not dump the booze and make a choice to quit today? A lot of people did here, and you can too.

In addition to the why not today and "look for those who have what you want" advice....you've got an SR account so why not post BEFORE you start drinking - as soon as that inkling or raging urge, however it begins for you, starts? Surf SR all day or night if you need to, we don't mind.
You can quit this.

I don't condone it,but I've been to AA with a buzz on more than one occasion. I've also turned up with a bit of vodka in my cup mixed with some strong smelling fruity type mixer to 'hide' the smell. I'm sure some knew, because they'd seen me 30+days sober before and here I turn up after a few weeks,so i'm sure I had the 'been drinking' flashing sign over my head. No one ever said anything to me except "welcome back".

We can offer you all the advice in the world (and have) but unless you make changes, you'll still just be that drunk hanging out in front of the liquor store the second it opens to get drunk again.
Be that better person that is hitting up that AA meeting instead to better yourself. You deserve it.
