Hello and thank you
I haven’t had a drink in 31 days. During that time I have read many posts and they have helped me understand my addiction. I am an alcoholic, in particular a binge drinker. I am committed to never drinking again, and have (hopefully) formulated a plan never to drink again. I will keep you posted on my progress! Thank you again, the comments and advice given to others are very useful.
I too was a binge drinker. There is no secret as to why. When I drank it was always an "event". Binge drinking was the only way I could drink. During that time I was only marginally functional, so without the dry periods between I would not have survived. Believe me, leaving alcohol to those that can drink normally was the best thing I ever did in my life. Staying sober gives me the opportunity to experience many other great things.

Congratulations ! YOU quit 31 days ago, your AV is not comfortable with that plan and will sow seeds of doubt, don't let them germinate, brush them off , ignore them.
the more you do the more comfortable You will be with Its discomfort, It will never be anything other than discomforted by your plan, but who cares ? YOU got this, YOU run the show, congrats !

Thx for the welcome. I’m trying to plan long term, to make changes that can be sustained. Medium term, looking forward to getting 50 days, I will reward myself with new trainers. Short term, not going to drink tonight, going to do chores and then watch a film.
Love to all, we can do this!
