Today makes four years
The past few years I've been inspired on the anniversary of my sobriety to write a long speech about how I did it and all... This time I just wanna say to those who are struggling that it can be done, you will adjust, and it's worth it - you're worth it. I would have never believed it during the boredom and anxiety of early sobriety, but not only is living clean and sober more interesting and just as fun, it's a lot more rewarding and feels a hell of a lot better than the roller coaster of highs and lows I experienced during my four decades of alcohol and other drugs. Each day is a privilege and a gift. I'm damn lucky and grateful I survived.
