Christmas Presents
Christmas Presents
9 x Bottles of Wine (my poison of choice).
1 x Magnum of Prosecco
1 x Bottle of Hendricks Gin
Hard to avoid it or prescribe any blame. I guess people know I like a drink!
Need to think where to store/dispose/give away these things.
I'm still not drinking today,

Good Lord thats a lot of booze!!
You could donate them to a worthy cause.
It would make you feel good. It does me when I donate to charity. You have the opportunity to make someone else's Christmas better. People who maybe in less fortunate place than yourself.
How about....
Donating them to a charity and they could use them for raffle prizes to raise cash?
Or drive to an old peoples home and make the elderly residents really happy that their booze trolly is having a top up.
Take them in to a hospice as gifts for all the nurses and patients that work there and are having to work over christmas.
Just leave them at reception and they will be distributed I'm sure.
Hospices never close and they will be open today.
If you PM me where about you are in the UKI could PM you the nearest hospice.
When I worked with hospices, there is a booze trolly for patients and they often have a little sherry or port or wine before lunch as it helps build an appetite before lunch and dinner. Hospices have no funding from the NHS or the government so they rely on donations.
I wish you the best xxxx

I'm definitely not throwing the booze away. Not because I want it - but because people paid for it with hard earned money and I just don;t like the thought of wasting it.
The hospice giveaway sounds a great idea. I think I'll take a trip out today or tomorrow.
Thanks

Holy Hooch Batman! Have you considered telling your friends you don't drink anymore? That might help....but I get that's a personal choice. When you have so many friends that associate you with drink it can get dicey when you meet up for social occasions. Just a thought.

Oooft, that's a lot of booze. I get what you are saying Tony about it being gifted by kind folks with their hard earned cash. Are you ok having that sitting around the house? Maybe box it up and stick it in the shed? Gabe x

It looks like a lot of people will be getting some presents.
Good work on staying focused.
Yeah I'm fine with it in the house for a very short period of time. But it will get gifted in the next day or so. No point having it around really.

I din't get any Christmas presents but the worst you could give me was alcohol. Either give it away fast or pour it out. Its isn't worth your life. On another note nice to think that people actually care enough to make an effort even if misplaced. You must be well loved
We have a huge bottle of pink moscato given to my spouse for his volunteer work.
Not something he or I would have drunk when we were drinking, so no worries.
I would like to regift it and will talk to him about doing so.
