60 days and
feeling a little better each day physically. Mentally I am still in a state, but I have had a roller coaster ride this year, including the loss of my sweet little dog in March to cancer and diabetes. I miss her terribly and find myself breaking down in tears most days. I miss her so much. I know my other little fur baby is also missing her. Found out the little guy is dealing with health issues now. They make such an impact in your life and only are with us for such a short time. It breaks my heart. Through all of this and losing my little Yorkie (her name was Jasmine) I got Sober. I finally had to let this out. Thanks all for listening.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, losing a fur baby is the most heart wrenching experience. She was my life. She loved my unconditionally.

Yes Anna so so very true. I am so full of grief. I don't think I am dealing with it, just pushing the thoughts to the back of my mind. The one good from all of this is that I am sober and am staying sober.
(((heaven))) I am sorry you lost your furbaby ♥
They really do leave their little footprints on our hearts.
I am so happy for your 60 days sober
I was very emotional and all over the place in my early days of sobriety. There was a lot of crying going on, no doubt about it. I believe crying to be very healing and cathartic.

So sorry to hear about your loss, heavencanwait. My kitty passed from diabetes and cancer as well. My heart goes out to you.
Sending healing prayers for your other furbaby.
All our feelings come to the surface in early recovery. Great job on 60 days.

It sure is. My kids are all grown up and gone, making me an empty nester now. She was my heart. Miss her so so much.

Hi Dee - I still have my little Shih-tzu. He is 10. I know he misses her too. I had him in to the Vet for his annual yesterday and they have discovered some health issues now with him (heart murmur and back legs are a little weak). I wish these little guys would live longer. They seem to have such a great impact on our lives for the short time we have them. :-(

Thank you Jules714 - It is so heart wrenching. I miss her so much. Thank God I still have my little Shih-tzu. He misses her though. They grew up together. If I did not have him, I have no idea where I would be right now.
