SMART-Feeling curiously free 😀
I know i've been here several times before, only to relapse , but this time feels different.
I previously tried 12 stepping, n it didn't click with me at all.Now having discovered SMART, n attending my first meeting on Tues, I feel like i've finally got it 😀
I know i've got a long n tough road ahead of me, but am feeling hopeful at last.
It's a fab feeling, being Friday, n not thinking about stocking up on booze for the weekend 😀
If any fellow newbies or SMARTers want to befriend me , that would be great too 😊

I've been really keen to try SMART but rather frustratingly there isn't any meetings near me in the evenings. They all seem to be during the day while I'm at work 😣
Would be interested to know how you get on and what your thoughts are on it once you've been to a few meetings.
Good luck with it!!

I went to a smart meeting this morning, then to smart training this afternoon to become a group facilitator in my local rehab. It's not for everyone like other approaches are but many like it. Loads of videos on YouTube. I actually partly used a smart technique to prevent myself from drinking tonight. If you have any questions ask me.
