50 days sober
Just wanted to thank everyone who posts here as without this site I don't think I would have made it this far.
Something feels different this time and I seem to have dealt with the cravings better. Although that could be as I have been on SR everyday, where as with previous attempts as the weeks rolled by I stoped visiting the site as much.
Life hasn't miraculously become easier but i do seem to be getting more done and it feels like I am making progress with things that I never seemed able to do before.
I was at a friends house a few days ago and one guy had a beer. I was sitting next to him and the smell actually made me feel sick. How I must have smelt after a binge, must have been awful for my wife.
It seemed impossible 50 days ago that I would be writing this but it has gone quite quickly. To all those starting out stick with it. As I said life isn't suddenly fabulous. But it's a hell of a lot better than it was. 50 days without a hangover, priceless!

Congrats on 50 days!!!
This site helps a lot, When I first stumbled on here a few years ago I was searching for vitamins and stuff for recovery. Little did I know this site would be a life line when things got tough.
