Day 12

This is the longest stretch I've had this year. I think I may have had 2 weeks straight under my belt in the last year? I really can't remember. Anyway, my sleep has settled and the AV is far less loud and making fewer appearances. I don't know what is different this time around. I do know that I feel physically nauseated at the thought of drinking. It's just no longer an option for me.

Hang in there, noneever. It will get better and easier the longer you are sober.

Congrats on making it this far!
Its no longer an option for me either.

I wanted to relate and say that its Day 7 for me, and as I was cleaning today I found an empty wine bottle under a mess of clothes, and my stomach did a lurch at the sight of it. I was really disgusted on a physical level by the thought of it.

I have, however, about three times now, had a thought sneak in (purely habit, and it only lasted half a second) that it was time for some wine. And then I was surprised it snuck in like that and I said to myself "OH! No, we don't drink anymore, silly!" And it went away. POOF.
I am cleaning, and I have needed to be drunk when I was cleaning house... Pretty much every single time Ive cleaned my house for many years now. So it makes sense that it would be triggered more than ever right now.

Really happy and interested to hear your progress. YOURE DOING GREAT!
