Bye bye beer

Cleared room of cans, poured remainder out and put them in the wheelie bin

Half a day work done, another half this afternoon then time with my daughter and an evening walk planned

No problem is insurmountable when sober

Time to simplify this issue- drink is the number 1 problem for me, my sole focus is addressing this

Girlfriend/ house/ work/ living situation can all be dealt with secondary

Alcohol has been the root cause of a lot of the issues

It's time to kick it into touch for good, forever

I did 2.5 years sober, I now know I can never look back to alcohol as an option

I'll update later, thanks all

Congratulations on your sobriety. A big step for me, and it looks like for you too, is knowing alcohol cannot be a part of our lives, ever.

Day one finished with. I'm pretty relieved I'm not ending the day with beer

It's a nice feeling to get to bed time and still be sober

Battle back on again tomorrow though

Stewy, you sound so much better, and you are absolutely right about the alcohol being the root of all the issues in your life.
