Still sober. 2weeks today.
Still sober. 2weeks today.
Hi all. I have not been on much this week. I am still sober. I found week 2 to be much harder than week 1. The withdrawal symptoms were much worse then week one. I had more headaches and confusion week 2 than week 1.
I have been reading a bunch about PAWS. I did not have any major cravings just did not feel good most of the week.
I feel good this morning. Maybe the fact that I quit coffee the same time I quit drinking made it worse.
I am grateful to be alcohol free. I will have a full 2 weeks and the end of today.
For any of you who is starting out on getting sober. Hang in there and be gentle with yourself.
I had so many day ones I stopped keeping track and I was thinking I could never get sober.
Thanks to you all for the support and words of kindness.

You are doing awesome.
Take it easy. Treat yourself. A wise person once told me 'focus on the thing that will kill you first', for me that was the alcohol by a long shot.
I had a lot of cravings for sugar in my early sobriety. I didn't feel bad about digging into the chocolate either - I deserved it
