First day of the rest of my life

So i just turned 21 on wednesday. my father in law had a major stroke on the same. day. I've been drinking and justifying it as either ok because i just turned 21 and I'm just celebrating, or drinking because I'm telling myself that its a stress reliever while dealing with this terrible familial affair. I woke up today with a black eye and cut across my face. The self loathing I feel just sucks so bad. Of course this isnt the first time something like this has happened. But what's different is this is the first time I've reached out to a community for support. Thank you thank you thank you everyone

oh my goodness my father in laws name is bruce and i know its just coincidental that my first supporter shares my father in laws name but it still put a smile on face

Welcome to SR Smart water and congratulations on realizing you have a problem. I wish I would have been as grown up as you are at 21.
