Hi Friends, Last night I slept at the church because our church is participating in a program where several families stay at the church for a week. It is a great program to help folks get back on their feet. Anyway this morning I was sitting in the large room waiting for people to get up and get ready to go. This three year old boy comes running down the hallway with his arms wide and runs up to me an gives me a big hug. He proceeds to sit on my lap and we played for awhile. Then another little girl comes over to see what we are up to and starts playing with us. It was such a joy to get that hug this morning(especially for this empty nester). It has been awhile since a child climbed into my lap. What a nice way to start the day.

I too, find that some of my greatest joys come from the simplest gestures.
We are all going through such hard times & it is so nice to know that happiness is all around us & that we can still find things to smile about......if we just pay attention!

I have 4 kids of my own and ran a daycare for a while, and when I got those hugs I swear I fed off them. Those hugs made my heart swell. Aren't they just better than any candy or chocolate you could imagine.
