The Mountain and the Boulder

Close your eyes and visualize yourself at the bottom of a mountain. Look ahead at the path leading upward. On the ground in front of you is a boulder the size of a beach ball. You are tasked to climb that mountain but you must roll that boulder up with you. You set out on the journey and begin rolling. With each ascending incline step that boulder begins to get heavier and heavier. Your steps get slower as you begin to grimace and sweat. Your breath gets quicker and you realize that this is much harder than you thought. Still, you continue to trudge forward rolling the boulder and taking the next step. The task begins to become insurmountable to the point where you begin to doubt if you're going to be able to do this.

Sound a little familiar in something else you're trying to accomplish?

Now, what if I told you that at the bottom of that mountain there were tools available to you that would make that climb to the summit much easier? Tools that would chip away at that boulder and each tool that you accept will lighten that burden and greatly increase your success?

Well, there are, and they're all included in whatever recovery plan you come up with. For every tool that you add, the lighter your burden will be, and the far greater your chance of success.

Don't roll the boulder alone, you are not a hero. Stock that toolkit.

A good start is the link below.
