What do you drink now?

Looking for some new drinks to try ( cordials, mixers, juices etc) , anyone have a particular one they have grown fond of since starting sobriety?

I drink lots of seltzer, too. Also, coffee and teas. Lately I'm on a ginger beer kick.

I drink mostly just water now. Occasionally a ginger ale/soda.

I think there's a phenomenon that happens early in sobriety where one feels the need to have "something to drink" almost kind of like a placebo effect....we feel like we have to have something in our hand to drink at all times. After a while that need dissipates and quite honestly I don't even think about what I'm going to drink. I just drink if I'm thirsty or with meals and don't really even give it a second thought.

Agreed. I found myself slinging open the fridge door, grabbing a can of seltzer, popping the top, and slamming it back ... when I was frustrated or angry. Similar to the way I'd have grabbed a cold beer. In some desperate or frantic attempt to 'drink away' my feelings.

Well my family were big coffee and tea drinkers, and that's what I do too. Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon and the occasional glass of water. If I eat out I drink iced tea/lemonade, or tonic water with a lime. When I'm in in the tropics in winter, I drink a lot of plain water.

Coffee or tea in the morning and then water, water and more water. When I get sick of plain water, I drink a flavored sparkling water drink for a different flavor. At night I drink a sleepy time tea especially close to bed time.

When I want a refreshing drink, besides water if I'm just thirsty, I go for juice mixed with sparkling water. Cranberry, pomegranate, blueberry, grape, whatever appealed the last time I was at a supermarket.

I drink a bit more herbal tea at night than I used to, but can't say I get too excited about it.

sparkling water or club soda (a fresh slice of lime or lemon goes nicely with both)

I squeeze lemons or grapefruit into water and add 1 sweet and low. I drink that all day and at night sleepy time tea.

Those sound delicious mountain! I am definitely checking those out. I love that sort of stuff and the water enhancers I get through Advocare are expensive.

LOL I saw that. I looked them up online. I will be getting some at Target today. I get tired of plain water and I like the flavor packets.

Lots of club soda with a splash of real cranberry juice (not that Ocean Spray junk, the 100% good stuff. I was never a wine snob--the box stuff was good enough for me--but I seem to be turning into a cranberry juice snob in my sobriety.) Club soda with some fresh mint and lime juice is also great for hot days.

And I also drink way too much coffee.
