suicidal thoights
I am so sick of living this way that friends and family don't understand my mental state. They think I want to carry on drinking even though It's the last thing i want. They will never understand me.
I put a wire wrope around my neck earlier this morning and stopped just as i was gasping for breath.

Doubter, when you do things like that, you don't really want to die. You are crying for help, and using the only voice loud enough for someone to hear you. Go to the ER and tell them how you feel, that you are so desperate for someone to help you that you are afraid you might do something irreparable. Please, go.
Hi Doubter,
I'm really sorry you're so low. Going to the ER (or A &E or whatever it's calked there) is really an excellent idea right now.
They can help you and keep you safe.
There are also crisis lines you can call: you'll find a lot of numbers in this link and some reading as well.

Whatever today looks like things can and will get better, I promise
we're all with you

Doubter, get help now. I got to that point and it wound up being the spring board to my recovery because I realized that I truly wanted to live and be present and enjoy life...sober. You are not hopeless and you are not beyond help, you can do this. It does get better, trust me.
That's probably true. That's why we stick together here - where the people do understand. It was very powerful the first time I told someone I hated what drinking was doing to me but that I still wanted to drink and they said, I know, I did that, too.
I hope you are feeling better and you can come back here soon.

Your story does not have to end to day. Please, if you haven't already, get yourself some help. Confide in a friend, see a doctor, visit the ER, anything. Your life matters and you have a purpose, don't give up.
Doubter, I lost someone to suicide. We were not on good terms when he died. But if he had called me I would have dropped everything to help him, because his life was so much more important than the things he had done. Please know that no matter what things are like with the people in your life right now, no one wants harm to come to you. Please reach out.
Doubter, me too, I hope you will check in. There are a lot of people here that are worried about you. I hope your lack of response means you are in good hands and taking some time out for yourself. We will be here for you when you are ready. You can turn this around, let us help any way we can.
