Battles
Was on my mind:
Winning the battle against alcohol (each day and each moment) is one that makes all of our others challenges easier to face in the long run (at least for me). I was fragile and vulnerable in the early going (emotions, spirit, mind and body). I ( and all of us) have had that weakened state make facing life harder.
For those struggling with ANYTHING at the moment I pray that you find a way to summon up what you can and what you will allow support and a Higher Power( if you have one) to provide you and face your battles with confidence knowing that you can and will come out on top.
Thank you to everyone on here sharing their up and downs and providing guidance and compassion. Its always beneficial.
Take care

I think you are right, TNTStill. Sobriety doesn't make all of our problems go away, but it makes a LOT of them go away. And as to the problems that remain, sobriety makes those problems SO much easier to address, doesn't it?

I think that is a very important perspective and often overlooked. Thank you.

This is more than a little bit true. I know from first hand experience.
I do believe I will come out on top but getting there is not always easy but without a deep faith it would be impossible
