Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site (as of today), and I'm nearly two months sober. I'm considering using this forum to supplement my AA meetings. I am SO ready for the obsession to go away. I've been working hard to do all the right things and follow advice, but my cravings are very strong. Still, I am going to try my best not to "cave." I wish everyone the best in recovery.

Welcome, and congratulations on 2 months sober. Super!
I'm sorry you are still having strong cravings after two months. What kind of changes have you made in your life besides stopping drinking?

Welcome to SR, NickiJay. And congratulations on your nearly two months of sobriety. Cravings are the worst, aren't they? Mine would hit, out of the blue, and wash over me like an ocean wave. Fortunately, you will find that those cravings will become less severe and less frequent over time.
Have you learned about HALT? (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired) I found that when the cravings were at their worst, I was usually experiencing one or more of the HALT conditions, especially hunger. Once I ate something, the alcohol cravings almost always subsided.
I am glad you are here with us. You will find a lot of support and helpful advice from the good people here. I know I have.
I hope you will post often and let us know how you are doing.

Welcome NickiJay. Congrats on 2 months sober. I promise it does get easier with each passing day that you stay sober. You're building your sober platform for your future.
Welcome and great job!
