Life please give me a break

I'm a basket case because of my daughter death.

I get offered a great job only to have it taken away because someone screwed up and they didn't have the budget

My wife who is my rock is out of the country for 5 weeks

Now my 12 year old Golden Retriever has taken a turn for the worse and it sure looks like he will have to be put down.

Please Lord can we just space out the tragedies a little. All I want is a little peace, is that too much to ask.

No, I'm not going to drink. There is no problem a drink won't make worse but I sure wish I didn't feel as bad as I do

Deep breaths
So sorry you are going through all of this.
Do you have a higher power you can turn to? To give you strength, peace and comfort?

That's a lot to deal with MiR, sorry life has dumped on you all at once. We are here if you need us of course, and I would imagine there may be a grief support group or another recovery group you could call on locally, especially of your wife is gone. Very glad to hear that drinking is off the table.

Hang in there MIR, it will eventually ease up. Sending prayers and positive thoughts your and your doggy's way. I too am glad that drinking is out of the equation for you. It might numb your feelings for a tiny bit but then things would be even harder and guilt would be compounding the pain you are feeling.

I'm so sorry. There is nothing better than a great Golden and they always go too soon...we lost ours two years ago next week.

I don't know why fate always kicks us when we're down...

Sendng you a hug.

I'm so sorry MIR that is a huge weight to carry.
Do you have someone you can talk to and lean on in your life, outside of here?
I do hope you remember to be kind to yourself and to take care of your soul.
I hope your trouble ease up soon. Take care, we are here for you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

MIR. I have always followed your posts because you have been through so much. I don't have a child so I can only imagine the grief you are going through. I hope you can heal eventually, but in the mean time this forum is here for you!

I'm sorry for all that MIR. when things pile on me I do what I can and leave the rest to God, faith, the Universe...whatever name you want to call it.

Things rarely work out the way I think they will but they do work out
