Back after a couple years!
Hey all!
Here I am again. Giving it another go. Finally reached out to some family and friends today in order to tell them what's going on, something I have never done before. Going to give AA a shot this time too. Definitely a little nerve-wracking to be the newbie but figured it's time to try something new. Nothing specific to say other than hello and I look forward to reading your posts and reconnecting with you all. I remember this being a great group!

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Go for it!
It's not the easiest problem to solve, but it's solvable and there's more than one way to skin a cat. I used intravenous amino acid therapy to finally kick alcohol to the curb.
Good for you, putting your support system in place! You're absolutely right it's time to try something new! If at first you don't succeed, try try again...but don't keep trying things that haven't worked. Switch it up until you find what works so you can vanquish the problem!
Have you quit, or do you have a quit date planned?

Welcome back, Chris!
I hope you take advantage of all SoberRecovery has to offer. Read around and post often!
Ninety AA meetings in ninety days gives your sobriety a solid foundation. Do you have any questions or concerns about the program?

Thank you for checking in about AA. I am quite overloaded in medical school so the 90-in-90 will be difficult. I just got of the phone with my brother who is a active AA member and think he covered most of my questions. I know it's just building up the courage to walk into the first meeting, which I am prepared to do. Thank you for reaching out and there is a good chance I might have some questions for you in the near-future.
