Another share about recovery
Another share about recovery
Having read Lance's post I'm encouraged to add another though about recovery.
I just wrote in Morning Gratitude ...
I'm 60 so I'm at an age when you might expect that I'd be slowing down a bit physically and mentally. I'm very healthy, I work full time as well as run my home and although I don't have the energy to go out and rage in the evenings, I don't feel I've slowed down particularly.
Mentally I am getting sharper all the time and I believe this is twofold: I'm physically healthier and I'm always hydrated and nourished. Every three to six months I can feel the brain fog lift a little more.
Those of you who are younger than me have even more benefits to look forward to, so don't think it's a matter of stopping drinking and feeling better because you aren't drinking. Recovery rewards pay compound interest.

Grateful that, even two and a half years down Recovery Road, the mind fog is still lifting.
