Rock bottom..

Was sober a week then decided to drink a big argument started and I jumped into my car and drove drunk Iam absolutely mortified as I have not driven drunk for 10 years since the last time I lost my licence!!! Iam completely shocked I drove and can't believe that I would be so foolish Its something I just don't do!!!

Today is a massive wake up call that I need to take this stuff serious and make it my number 1 priority!!!!!!

Welcome back Hercules, sorry to hear about the driving incident. What are you prepared to do this time around to make sobriety your #1 priority?

Glad you are here Hercules....grab hold of all the support available to you. When I went to court for my last DUII, there were 2 people being arraigned for Manslaughter, due to drinking & driving....that could have been me.

I know, Hercules. Each time I tempted fate by drinking I ended up doing something dangerous & reckless. After cleaning up many messes, I finally admitted there was no telling what would happen once it was in my system. It literally turned me into someone else - an irresponsible fool. I'm glad you're getting back on track. You can do it.

Mariah - Same thing happened to me. It was terrifying. I'm so glad that isn't us anymore.

Welcome back. What kind of plan do you have? What kind of support? Arguments will happen but what kind of system do you have in place to get beyond without drinking?

Hang in there.

Glad your here and you want to do something about it.

Thing is we are all usually sorry "after the fact" we do something stupid like drive drunk. Just be happy you did not injury or kill someone. We can be sorry as hell after the fact but the victims family rarely takes that as consolidation to losing a loved one.

Be happy you are going to get on the right track now. What is your plan for the future?
