Hallucinations

I'm stopping, but experiencing massive hallucinations. Don't have insurance, quit for twelve days but so scary. I keep telling myself it's not real but it still becomes my reality and it's enveloping me.

I'd seek some emergency medical care, hallucinations are nothing to mess around with.

Go to the ER, withdrawals can kill you

This is serious, happy. I had something that sounds quite similar happen when I quit suddenly several years ago-horrifying visual and audio hallucinations. I lasted 4 days before i started drinking again to make it go away....I can't offer medical advice but it sounds like a lot like alcoholic hallucinosis. You aren't going crazy, it's not as bad as DT's, but you need medical attention. Don't be afraid to call an ambulance; they were nice and understanding of me at hospital. You'll get through this but you really need help, now. Take good care.

When was your last drink? Are you alone? Can you go to the hospital?

I'll echo what others have said, and ER might be a good idea. That's not something you want to mess with.

Happy, also don't worry that you have no insurance; this is a medical emergency and that's what hospitals are there for. You're sick and you need to start getting better.

Happy1123

please get yourself to a hospital now. They will get a lot worse.

I got the DT's when I quit cold turkey also. After a while I thought they were passing only for them to come back strong.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR.

I hope you check back in here when you can. This place offered my the much needed information and support after I checked out of the hospital.

Hi Happy,

I'll add to the chorus of "get to the hospital"
Please do check back in and let us know how you are doing.
You can get through this initial phase and come out better on the other side.
