First timer
Hi all,
This is my first post, and first, sober day since I don't know when. Just wanted to start properly and introduce myself... I'm English, female, married, Mid thirties and live abroad.
Have looked through the FAQ and sure I'll get the hang of things soon
Having a tough time tonight as Sunday is usually my drink alone at home time...
Anyway, evening all

I've just taken some melatonin to help me sleep. Otherwise I'd be up anxious all night. I've just decided to not drink tomorrow and to let this be the start.
Although when I woke up this morning I was still drunk...
Welcome! I'm new here, too. I'm a female, mid-thirties as well. My plan is to stop drinking completely, I can't moderate. Tried too many times. Hope all goes well for you. Whatever you do, don't give up. I gave up at 17 days last year, and am just now trying again.

I'm also a first timer. Also white, female, mid thirties. I'm starting day 2. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Already about 14 stressors have come my way though, enough to make me reach for the bottle. I have my own business and my own office with no one around unless I meet a client, so I can pretty much get by drinking anytime. It's going to be hard, as I drank at home, alone, at my office, etc (closet)
But I'm determined this time.

By the way, I tried about three times to post my story in the newcomers thread and it's not showing up. I tried to post it last night. It was titled Day One is Over. I don't see that it posted. Does some administration review things and then not post them for some time? I want things to be immediate

Welcome 3 new folk ! I also wish I'd made efforts to get sober in my 30's, I really hope you do, you'll save a lot of years of the same old same old (or worse). All the best to you.
SR is a great support by the way.

Howdy, everyone. I'm trying to find my way around this website and get busy. Hopefully I'm in it now and I can read previous posts to get some instruction and info. In a little over a week I'll celebrate 35 years clean and sober. My 70th naked birthday was 3 months ago. Looking forward to sharing my experience, strength and hope with you.
