Two weeks
When I wake up tomorrow (sober and not hung over) I will have made two weeks.
Thank you for all your words of wisdom. Your example helps me so much.
I've had my share of bumps this week. The less than pleasant soon to be ex and a heap of emotional bull he likes to toss. But it seems the longer I am sober, the more things align themselves in a way that pleases me. Got an awesome apartment this week where I can have all my pets - I'd passed on it earlier this year, in what was the second to last promise to move out and divorce. I thought I'd lost it forever. But it worked out and I can move from behind a homeless shelter (let me tell you, that is an education) to a nice country house.
Work's going well. I'm happy, Actually had someone ask me out (not sure about that one) but it is all just proof to me when you fill your life with as much positive energy as you can, things improve.
Drinking never did anything for me, but make me hate me even worse.
So thank you SR - your determination and support is making all the difference in my life. I hope, in time, I can repay the favor.
