Positivity is important. Do you have anything in place, recovery wise, for when that falters?

I don't suffer horrible withdrawal symptoms - so the days go by quickly for me without issue. When I get home in the evening and everything gets "crazy" ,that's when I tend to pour a glass of wine. Once I get through the dinner time rush with the kids - I'm always fine. During that 1 hour period of stress, I get aggravated and irritable because I feel that the wine will help get me through that. Problem is, I don't stop drinking once dinner is through. Next thing you know - I've finished the bottle and I'm looking to see if there are any beers in the house. Last night, I took the kids outside before and after dinner. It helped the time pass. Once dinner was done - I was fine and ate a pint of blueberries. There is no alcohol in the house. Tonight we are going out to eat (Friendly's - so no booze). I honestly need a plan for every night to get me through!

The hour right after dinner was the hardest for me, too. If I could get through that, I'd be alright, but I used to feel extremely anxious and dissatisfied at that time. So, I made sure to get out of the house at that time. I'm glad you have plans in place to deal with this.

Congrats on day 2, BeBetter. Don't be afraid to post in here once a minute if those cravings hit. Long term recovery is possible. One day at a time!

Yep that's the witching hour for me too. Husband refuses to stop bringing it home. Definitely makes it harder. Good luck! I am on day 2 as well
