I am two weeks sober. I had a horrible, very realistic drinking dream last night/ early morning. My husband had to wake me up, said I was screaming and kicking at something. It took me about a half an hour to calm down. Is this normal?

Well, the dreams about drinking are common. The good part is dreams became much less frequent in general and definitely less disturbing as I gained more time in sobriety.

Give your brain time to heal. It's been through a lot.

18 months and I still dream about drinking sometimes. I don't wake kicking and screaming, though; just glad I wasn't drinking for real.

Yes drinking dreams are common esp in early sobriety your doing amazing great job on 2 weeks !
