Right back at it

Hello again. Was here in December and I've been around since before that. I just read some of my old posts. I was so sure it was going to be the last time but it wasn't.

I'm going to keep reading tonight, just thought I'd post and put in words that I'm trying again.

Welcome back JayEl. You did seem to have a good stretch going there for a while, what could you do differently this time to keep it going? Anything specific you might add to your plan?

Welcome back!!

What have you been doing for your recovery since Dec, because good intentions only got me soo far, in isolation there was only going to be one outcome, instead I needed something outside of myself, some support, something to keep me focused on the task at hand and give me a second opinion on things!!

Go at things again, but tweak your plan moving forward!!

you can do this!!

It comes down to not really having a plan. I truly enjoyed being sober and as usual, the first little while of drinking again was 'under control'. And then it wasn't.

I want to be sober more than I want to drink, I just don't know how to make it work for me.

The not drinking is actually the easy part, it's the rest, changing my whole life style, getting back to AA.

Sounds stupid. It's really not that hard is it?

Welcome back JayEl. I hope you'll join us in the Class of May 2015 thread on this forum. It's a great way to learn from and also help others who are in early recovery just like you.
