Some days right around noon, while working, I have to keep giving myself a constant reminder of certain things. The last few work days I have to keep telling myself that no matter how stressed or how much anxiety I have, I am still in a much better spot today than I was when I was drinking from the time the alarm clock went off in the morning until I passed out almost every night. It's all going to payoff for me and in fact it already is. Embrace it. I'm alive and feeling better than I have in years.

In fact, the further my sober life stretches on, the more I realize that by simply and deeply embracing LIFE - I inherently am able more and more to embrace sobriety.

Life - when properly and deeply embraced - doesnt need booze.

You are in a better spot. Just not drinking is a better spot. Or it was for me. But it is so much more than just not drinking. It IS embracing life.
