Day 5 and oh so strong
this quote was in my email this am
"we either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong
the amount of work is the same"
going into the last work day before the upcoming long weekend
often we have 'wine fridays' at work when everyone shares a bottle drinking from paper cups. because tonight many people are leaving town for the weekend and will be driving it has already been decided that we will not have any. I'm glad bc it is one less temptation that i will have consider.
my days are still planned out to give me focus, strength and inspiration to continue with my recovery. I've not mention before but my home has a liquor cabinet that makes any alcoholic celebrate (or cringe) depending on your seat on the wagon. I've taken all of the opened bottles to the basement as my husband still drinks (he probably drinks to much but not nearly as much as me). he is out of town this week so he has no idea that i have made such dramatic changes. sure i can still get to the bottles but at least they are not within arms reach of the computer where i write.
this weekend i am going to load up the car with all of the unopened bottles and return them to the liquor store.
my intention for today is noticing my breath. and to realize this intention whenever i feel myself getting stressed about big or small things.
stoked that i am being so crazy strong http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ies/banana.gif
