Don't do it! Nothing about today can make you drink- it's just a day and tomorrow is another one. Wake up to it refreshed and knowing you stuck to your commitment to yourself, tonib.

Stand your ground, we have your back!
Try not to over stress about work. You go in, give your 100% and when you leave, unless you get paid for "worry overtime" leave the work behind. Easier said than done, but with practice, you will get there.

no matter what your job or your situation or your life, there will be times it is super stressy.
That's life.
Particularly This Modern Life.
So we need to decide how we are going to address those times when stress mounts.
For many years, for decades, I responded to it by trying to numb it out. Alcohol, drugs, more alcohol, still more alcohol. I suppose one could say that it "worked". Just the way it's "working" for many others every day all over the country and the world.
But is it really 'working'?
For me, it wasn't. It was just fooling me. Distracting me. Gaining me the temporary illusion of relief only to redouble upon itself - leading to more and more and more.
Having gotten off that merry-go-round what happens now is that sometimes I am stressed out. Sometimes exercise helps, sometimes meditation or positive thinking. Sometimes, all that helps is to say to myself "I recognize that you are stressed. And that's ok. This will pass, and it's just Human to feel this way sometimes" - then wait it out.
But I don't drink over it.
And that has made all the difference.
I wish you well.
