Day 1
After reading many encouraging posts and loads of support from many dedicated people, I'm ready to begin living a life of total abstinence. I look forward to enjoy my sobriety as many others have been able to achieve due to the help and encouragement found on this forum. SR seems to be a life line for many and I intend to make it the same for me. Don't let the picture fool you, it will get better as I find my way and achieve my goal.

I was drinking all day when I found SR. It was reassuring to know I was no longer alone. Others in my life had no clue what I was going through. Everyone here understands and wants to help support you. Glad you found us.

Thanks JadedGirl, It's been a long journey to admit I need to do this for myself and with gods grace I'm healthy, decided to do this before I hit rock bottom as others have. I don't need detox as i have gone fore weeks without any problems and have a fair amount of support outside SR. I intend to post often and seek advice as I leap the hurdles that lie ahead.
