Prayers
Hey friends,
Right now Mr Magic is in the middle of his disease. Too many pain pills. His disease is in charge, which means I'm getting lies and excuses. I am grateful for the Al-Anon program. I am ok today. The concern I have for him isn't controling me. All I ask is that you help me pray for him. I believe that he is in God's hands, and that God's will is being done. I just want you all to know how grateful I am to have this wonderful cyber family. You have been such a big part of my recovery, and the reason I am at peace right now. Hugs, Magic

I will keep you and Mr. Magic in my prayers. I believe that at the end of the day, God has his plan for us all and whether we understand why things happen the way they do or not, he is in charge. I am going through the lies and excuses thing myself and it brings me unbearable sadness to watch my marriage disinegrate before my eyes. I wonder why God would put me through this sometimes but than I catch myself. Its all a learning experience and God doesnt give us more than we can handle. Stay strong and have faith. God Bless

I went to an open AA Meeting with my mom...gosh almost a year ago (my first one) it was the middle of a pretty fierce winter storm so my mom and I and two other gentlemen were the only people that showed up. My mom had been drinking the night before so she hadn't been sober even 24 hours yet....the other two guys had been sober for over 25 years each. If they hadn't been there we'd have made the trip through the storm for nothing. I told them this and said thanks; one of them said to me: You're welcome. I've been to at least 2 meetings a week for the last 25 years and one of the things that AA has taught me is that if you don't give it away you don't get to keep it. He went on to tell me that he had seen a lot of people come and go and come back again after a relapse.
I think you are amazing and I think it's great how much support everyone here gives eachother even while they are needing it themselves.

Many prayers for you and Mr. Magic . I hope Mr. Magic knows what a terrific wife he has , you have certianly been a great comfort for me even when I read your replies to my post and everyone elses.

(((((Magic))))) OMG I just saw this post! My prayers are flying your way right now for you and your husband. How I wish I could wave a magic wand to make it all ok. I only hope that I can give back even a 1/4th of the support and inspiration you have been giving me. Take our strength and inspiration, hold it close and make it your own.
