It's so true though. I think I have time, I have more youth to waste with this disease, until one day I don't. If I don't quit I'll be sitting in a hospital bed and probably have an epiphany, realize that I have never truly lived, but it will be too late and it shouldn't take dying to live.
I'l rephrase, it's a bit depressing for me and my predicament. Particularly backed up by Isaidyes' point.
Well that day won't be tomorrow, you wanna see the wind and the rain out here.
But fair play Dee. I had the Carpe Diem mentality too once upon a time

My point was I once would have read that like you did Stratman
When I quit I thought I was at the end - LOL...I only was at the beginning.
Good things happen in recovery - even to jaded people who are sure they've seen it all...like me

I do have TIME I woke up at 29 years old when so many go longer... I could have just give along, 8 years until my kid graduates what? 2-3 before she's pretty much self sufficient enough to be left alone and I could do what I want? I can only imagine the alcoholic I could be under those circumstances... I can't do that and I won't.
Reassuring to know Dee, you guys keep me going thats for sure.
On a side note, not to be pedantic but the origin of this quite is up for dispute ?The trouble is, you think you have time.? | Fake Buddha Quotes .
It's thought to have originated and been adapted from one of Carlos Castenda's books which I found interesting as I have one of them. Good quote though, depressing or not.

I love this.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life. And we all get it. But each day you allow to go by without pursuing your goals is one you can never buy back.
Utililize every moment to your advantage!
Thanks Mikie!
