Some friend!

So my friend who was an ex drinking buddy goes to me tonight when I told him I had stopped drinking for health reasons:

"Really?! Come on man your stronger than that, just drink in moderation".

Gee thanks.....

Good old Oz!
Nothing like a good drink here! "Only the weak can't handle their drink"
What was your response?

I have one of these friends that keeps trying to diagnose me and thinks I'm fine drinking ... just sometimes I get a little out of control. I tell her it's about me not her. She keeps saying I cannot wait til you finish this "cleanse" because you're so much more tolerable when you drink. It makes me angry and honestly I don't know why I put up with it.

hmmm yeah the lack of understanding is incredible, if it was a heroine addiction I'm sure he would have been more supportive.

It blows my mind how people when you say to them it's for health reasons, the idea that it could take your life, they still rationalise it away, drives me insane!!
