Everything is better!
I feel great! I'm sleeping well, I'm eating well... with the exception of a several bowls of ice cream a week , I'm exercising regularly, that really helps me with the sleeping. My skin looks remarkably better, I was looking tired and puffy. My home is in better order, cleaner and more organized. I'm not plagued be thoughts of drinking.... the only deal I will make with myself is to never drink again. I can't tell you all how good it feels to have that silence in my head. I'm laughing and smiling more. I can actually see and feel my future without this addiction.
Thank you so much SR and all the people on it!!!!!!! Without this site I wouldn't of learned about AVRT and I would still be turning about in that vicious cycle.

Nothing but I had tried to stop in October and had some minimal withdrawals then... tired, shaky, sweaty etc. After I picked up again I was trying really hard to moderate. Then Xmas eve I got blackout drunk, I could usually drink a lot and keep it together so blackouts were rare. I woke up in terror... like gasped myself awake! I had such deep shame and remorse. Ugh. I was hungover for two days..... I logged back on here and did some reading and found a approach that is working for me and I don't plan to ever ever ever go back. Onward!

AVRT stands for addictive voice recognition technique. Check out the secular forum on this site and here's a link for a really solid explanation.

Also google rational recovery.
It's helping me! I hope it can help you too
