What helps me with insomnia.

It's a form of meditation called Yoga Nidra. Basically it's a guided meditation that brings you deeper and deeper into your unconscious.... I never even notice when it's happening, it feels very natural. When I wake up in the morning I feel so refreshed and my sleep is very deep and restful. The guide recommends laying on your back but I'm a side/stomach sleeper so I just do what I want and what feels good. I use Youtube and here's a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cJNOI_J40Q but I'm sure you can download something and use headphones or whatever works!

Hope it helps! It's terrible to not be able to get some sleep.

Thanks Zenchaser. I have had real bad times with insomnia before.

It's my biggest catalyst for reverting to the bottle, after x amount of days I just cave and no longer give a damn about anything.
Plus I get progressively fruitier along the way. Petulant, pedantic, truculent etc.

Very frustrating, been thinking about all this again today. Thanks again, I'l try that.

You are most welcome... let me know how it goes I have no idea what happens during the meditation after the first 20 minuter or so... I'm gone to the world by then

Hopefully you never have to feel like you need to drink to get some sleep again.....

Thanks so much! That video is very relaxing and seemed to help tire me out. Especially with that rain falling.

I used it last night because I was so tired that I couldn't fall asleep. It worked like a charm!

Wow! Thanks so much for the link zenchaser!!
I was awake tossing and turning at 2am as usual, I thought I would try the meditation and was asleep in 15 minutes!!
It really helped push my negative thoughts aside so my body could relax into sleep.
I'm very grateful you shared

It worked for us, but it's just gone. If anyone can help, or offer any other suggestions, I would appreciate it. We are happy to pay for what we get.
