Welcome back Laura. I'm on day one again too. We came back. We are here and today is a new day. Trying to keep all these things in mind

Hi Laura and Jane

I found each time I got sober again I was a little more open to things I hadn't tried before...
any idea on what you guys could do differently this time?

I am going on holiday next week, abroad, I havenīt got a clue as to hoe I will make it. But I donīt want to ruin the vacation. I think I need to talk to my boyfriend.

Hi Dee!

That's a really good point. My plan is to actually schedule time every single day just for relaxation. Not for me to go for a run or read a book, I mean getting on my yoga mat and breathing. That's the one time I feel like I'm really checking in with how I'm doing.
I also need to break eating habits. I don't eat nearly enough as I should and I don't think this helps with the cravings!

Jane, I was once recommended mindfulness as I am very stressed over work etc. I havenīt tried it though but I should.

Laura

Mindfulness is good for every situation I think! I really recommend a dedicated time each day for meditation. Ten minutes is enough and the Headspace app is great for that.
When I made it into a habit it definitely helped my stress and kept me sober. It was only when I stopped and I got overwhelmed that it fell apart!

Hi Laura

if you want this vacation to be different - and sober - then yeah, I think you need to communicate that?
