Treats!

Well, I feel pretty gross. I've read a few posts about using sweets to curb alcohol cravings. I wasn't really craving alcohol, but it got me thinking about sweets.

I ate a pumpkin caramel cookie and an ice cream sandwich about 2 hours ago and I think I'm crashing from a sugar high or something.

Tomorrow I'm back on the "eat reasonably and exercise" train.

Never liked ice cream. I'm a very fast eater and ice cream is too cold to eat fast. (that's right - I just said that ICE cream is too cold!)

I'm all about donuts and pastries.

I had some spicy tea. I put a wee bit 'o' maple syrup into it. Oh, and some milk. Think I'll fetch another cup of that nectar before lights out. I ran out of honey, so hence the maple syrup. The kids won't mind.

Trach, this is going to seem like I'm just being contrary but I don't care for chocolate, either.

I usually try to go for fresh fruit as a snack, but I had all that "sweets" talk going through my head while I was shopping today. Thought I'd give it a try. Bought a nice dinner to cook for myself and now dinner just doesn't sound good to me. Who knew? Mom was right: I actually spoiled my appetite!

SDH, if anything, I'm persistent. And yes, you're just being contrary. But I still have solutions.

Sugarfree italian fruit ices.

LOL I thought this thread was about rewarding myself with goodies in return for my sobriety. I got myself a car last week.

As for sweets, I can't get enough of those imperial mints. I need to cut down.

I am one of those who recommends letting yourself indulge in some sweets but last night, I indulged in a bag of Pepperidge Farm holiday cookies and felt pretty gross afterwards. The cookies were great. Eating the whole bag, not so much.

Sugar cravings like mad! Icecream, cookies, pastries, candy, whatever. I don't discriminate. It's day 46 and I haven't gained any weight, so I probably won't be stopping the madness anytime soon. I have slowed down though.

Also, I volunteered to make pies for a large crowd on Thursday's Thanksgiving get together. I hope the pies make it to the party...
