New Here
I'm new here. Day 2 sober and this time I say I QUIT-I AM DONE WITH THIS INSANITY, not I want to quit, I need to quit, I hope I can quit. It's I QUIT. Threw it into the universe as a definite.
I have wasted enough times on blackouts, death defying hangovers, lost ambitions, squelched dreams. I can drink or I can have the life I want!.
I know I need support and a soft landing. I tend to isolate and of course God forbid if I trusted anyone enough to let them in.
Wandering out for a run and intend to be back this evening.
Thanks for the soft place to land.

Thank you all for the welcome. I have had so many day 2's, even a few years here and there for the past 30 years. The past 2 years have been moderating (hahahhahaha), then a full blown black out and quit for 2 weeks. Feel better try modding again and well you know the cycle. I plan to work it and make connections. Biggest problem for me, no social connections. I lie to my daughters and family. I want to see my grandchildren grow up, not leave them a legacy of "my gram died from alcohol related..."
Again, I am going to stick close, read and remember the awful part of this addiction. I tell ya, my 3 mile run this a.m. was hell sweating out all of that garbage....it will get better. I'm proud of being a QUITTER for good. Everyday that is my mantra
