27 and scared
Hi everyone...I'm a 27 year old female recently divorced. I have never been to a meeting but am pretty sure tonight I am going to give it a try. I keep questioning whether or not I have a problem but figure I wouldn't be questioning it if I didn't have a problem. I've lost my husband, pretty much all my friends. I am lucky to still have my family by my side. I never thought it was humanly possible to feel so alone. I need to start over and don't know where to turn. I figured this place might be a good start
Everybody is scared when they start. Even a big, tough, ex street kid like me cried like a baby when I thought I might lose everything to drink. Alcohol is a great leveler in many ways, it doesn't care about your age, gender, social status, anything. It'll leave us all on our knees.
You're one of millions, don't feel alone. Pick yourself up, you've got this.
Tom.

Hello and welcome. You have been through a lot at 27, but think of how much more life you have ahead of you. It can be AMAZING without alcohol. It sounds like it is time to take a turn for the better and quit. You will find a ton of support here and of course also at AA. Best of luck to you!
