Please don't let the relapse become a long term one.
The sooner you kick back into sobriety mode, the better.
Was there a trigger that got you take the first drink? Identifying the triggers can really help.
You might need to modify your plan a bit and add something for extra support.
Good luck and try not to beat yourself up too much, many of us had our fallbacks.

You can stop. It's why you posted here. It's time to put down the drink. Take a deep breath lovely lady...and decide to sober...now.
It is your choice. You HAVE the choice no matter what that addiction beast is telling you.
Tell it to go to hell....
Stay with us.

Everyone has it within them to stop!!
We all just need a plan that works, are you doing it on sheer will power? because if that's not working then it's time to change things up, more support, meetings, more reaching out etc!!
You can do this!!

Welcome back lastqueenjess
There fact you're posting here means you're not that lost
You want to be sober...and coming back here is a great step in that direction
what did you do last time to stop?

But if you are here on SR you must want to stop and you know you will get all kinds of support to help you stop I hope you put that bottle down and drink some water and get some rest. Things can look and feel bleak and dark at night; drinking won't help the situation. I hope you take care of yourself

You and me. Let's quit together. Right now. Let's get the detox crap out of the way and heal. Pm me, whatever it takes. Together we can kick addictions ass.
We can stop. I'm on night 1 too and it sure does suck, but we put this fact away in our filing cabinet.
Think of all the negatives involved with detox, and remember that like I will. We have this. It only gets worse

I relapsed about 2 weeks ago...drinking HARD for 4 of those 7 days.
With the help of my family, SR and AA I'm back to 1 week sober today.
I went through those feelings too...feeling like the world is ending, you've let everyone down...etc.
They will get better. I heard this at AA the other day...Do the next right thing.
Posting here shows that a part of you wants to stop. You have the choice.
You can do it. Use WHATEVER helps you.

Thats what the AV wants you to think, that you can not stop but deep inside you know better, you know that you are running the show and that you can stop...Tell that AV to take a hike, from now on you are taking back control and every time your addictive voice speaks up, shut it down....You can do this....it is not easy and it requires you to be vigilant to the tricks and manipulations of your addictive voice...we are here for support.
You can quit drinking simply because you must. Twisting your hankie and the yah butts are distractions that are doing nothing but postponing what you must do. You know what you have to do, make a plan, and do it.
I had to believe I could do it, and that I deserved to do it, before I could do it, if that makes any sense. Believe in yourself, Jess. Just like the rest of us here, you can quit. You are a good person, a strong person, someone who deserves a life without this addiction garbage. Demand it of yourself, and go get it. Refuse to accept any alternative, no matter what. Once you quit, and you will quit, you will look back and wonder why you waited so long. Onward!
